The RHEIN WHAT exhibition came from the initiative of revitalising and giving a name to the Information and Communication Design bachelor degree offered at Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences. As a very new degree program, we have not yet been able to establish ourselves as to what we have to offer.
Usually when asked about where we study, most people don’t recognise the name, and sometimes it requires some further explaining about what or where our campus is. That is how we came up with the name, “Rhein What?”, as a way to make light of a situation and at the same time, to
rewrite and rethink the narrative about our university.
